Basalt chandelier

The light sculpture is designed as a distinctive standalone object based on the principles of sequence, rhythm, and gradual formal transformation. The composition consists of several dozen hexagonal glass columns of equal length, arranged in stepped offsets. These subtle wave-like shifts define the silhouette of the sculpture and evoke the natural structure of basalt columns in the landscape.

The object is not intended to function as the primary source of illumination. Light is guided from the suspended ceiling and the inner part of the metal ring, where it refracts and filters through the glass columns, creating a soft ambient effect. The metal structure also acts as a barrier, controlling the direction of the light and preventing unwanted dispersion.

The result is a light sculpture that appears within the space as a process of natural formation — an energetic, structured, and powerful element.
